Both of our kids have been learning and improving their math with Anna and Discovery Math Saskatoon since March 2023. Our son attended Montessori school, and while they are good in teaching concepts, they do not do any math work on paper. For that reason or another we found out that our 5th grader could not do division and had fallen behind his grade level. It was very relieving to see how quickly our son had caught up with his math since we started our lessons with Anna. Shortly after that we decided to home school our kids, so now we are working together in collaboration with Anna who presents new concepts and materials, gives instructions and homework to do during the week until next lesson. She has been teaching math for over 20 years and knows exactly what is important to teach in math, what is not, and how to teach what is important effectively. Anna has a physics and math degree and has a good old school classical approach in teaching math. She also holds a neuropsychology degree that empowers her in understanding the process of learning on physiological level and how to achieve the best outcome while teaching math. Our daughter in particular loves that there is a new small challenge drawn by Anna on the board to solve every time she comes to the classroom, and it’s done specially for her. Anna has a deep understanding of the subject and strives to meet each child’s individual educational needs with customized materials. Her calm, kind and patient personality feels very welcoming to children and makes learning math fun! I highly recommend Anna!  Anna thoroughly and gently fast-tracked our son through many, many math learning gaps that he had accumulated in his early high school years.  She is now working with him through SAT preparations and a grad 12 pre-calculus class.  Anna's keen mathematical insights, creativity and flexibility - and overall lovely demeanor - have endeared math to our son and our son to her!  We couldn't be more thankful for Anna.
